2-3 players signed and ready to go 1st Jan could have made a huge difference and he knows it. He'll be kicking himself that didn't happen.

The longer his tenure went on the more I doubt a couple of attackers would have made a big difference. I think there are fundamental problems in the way he sets up teams.
