Who thought thought these would help?

McNeil - Nobody wanted and zero end product (relegated side)
Neal Maupay - Never been prolific and not wanted by a small club, yet we take him.
Conor Coady - Can't play in certain setups. Leadership decent but ability lacking.
Ruben Vinagre - Pointless journeyman footballer.
James Tarkowski - Decent if your biggest aspiration is mid-table.

The mind boggles!
Tarkowski and Coady have definitely helped.
You missed out Gana and Onana, they have both improved us too.
We are much better defensively now than we were last season.

The other 3 you are spot on, Maupay and Mcneill were never going to help us improve up front and that is the area which is causing us to second bottom

Gueye has been the worst signing of the lot of them.
Just because he still has the code for the finch farm doors

Gana has slowed us down in the middle of the park. Admittedly going from Mbappe, Neymar and Messi to Gray, Gordon and DCL is a complete change of quality but even so, he's ponderous on the ball. Needs to be sharper. So with that in mind he's not helped.
