I’ve a sinking feeling that he’ll be left in place. This is because the board is useless and spineless but also because there is a groundswell of people saying idiotic things like “we can’t keep changing managers”.

I like the chap and he arrived with enthusiasm and genuine good intentions to make it work.

The window to sack him has passed to make it effective in my view but he still must depart.

He would not succeed in taking us back up, if anyone can.

I'm skeptical that something will be done now, with the board awol and a seeming resignation to our fate by them.

The time to act was weeks if not months ago. The damage has been done.

I honestly do not think any manager would keep us up under these conditions now.

Yes, both.

His "LFC connection" should mean something but it's not like we were signing Klopp in his prime or anything we were signing a manager who had been finished for about ten years who was right up there in the hated kopite stakes.

Why do loads on here jump to conclusions? it's like twitter. Show me where I said I would have him back? I explained previously I would not touch him, in the original post i called him a knob head who didn't care about the club. Of course I don't want him. I'm even unsure on a manager like Dyche cos i'm so against that style of play,

Considering Lampard has resulted to lumping it anyway, getting a manager like Dyche wouldn't be awful cos at least he would play 2 up top, simply lumping it to DCL who has no one to flick it onto is a waste of time.

The protesting against the board needs to be put on the back burner, for now. It’s taking the heat off the biggest issue right now and that’s the manager. We keep Lampard we go down, it’s that simple. The immediate campaigning must be to get this manager gone, get someone else in and then refocus on the owner and board at a later date. The immediate priority is to remove the manager while we still have a fighting chance.

I genuinely can't remember a recent resignation of a manager in this league off the top of my head. I'm sure there's probably an example I'm forgetting, but it doesn't seem to happen much anymore.

Fans calling for Dyche etc because they've no knowledge of the wider footballing world (not claiming I have, but it's out there). We simply need a competent manager. At the moment we don't have one, but plenty of them exist.
