It’s a far more complex debate then many of the pressure groups suggest, I keep hearing “we want change” - what’s that exactly….because change could be catastrophic for us. I’m not defending anyone here just stating what I believe to be the reality. Would I like us run better, definitely I’ve been saying it long before the koolaide was drunk - in regard to our finances.

No doubt a fair degree of mismanagement happened, the owner perhaps to my mind is content to have patsies at board level in place so he can make all decisions - it happens. That or he’s naive and been taken advantage of “by supporting his management teams”.

Nuts and bolts and he has said it in his letter, he’s invested huge sums of money in the club, he’s taken on board and solved the ground issue - two high priority problematic issues at the club for decades, his commitment and actions of support can’t be questioned. Incredible sums of money have been spent, no one else is going to that in my opinion, or certainly they can’t.

The problem we have now is the club is utterly dependent on him now for financial survival, those 100s millions of losses we see every year is actual money being covered by Moshiri, without those cheques the club ceases to function and goes into administration or liquidation - essentially all assets getting sold. You won’t see that in the small print of the advocacy groups when they talk “of change”, nor can they give guarantees that a new owner won’t come in and asset strip us to cover our losses etc.

So it’s a fair more complex discussion, then a glib, we want change, a new man comes in and we start from scratch, that’s not going to happen, we’re in a hole and without Moshiri cheques we are in huge trouble.

So ultimately a lot of contrasts exist at the same time, have we been mismanaged - yes, has he invested an incredible amount of money on the club and infrastructure - yes. Is the club utterly dependent on him and without further investment to cover our losses are we in huge trouble - yes.

Someone is going to have to come up with something better in terms of strategy as just “change” because it’s a far more complex issue then just a binary in or out, in terms of the clubs well being.

Again I’m not defending him or the management teams as it’s clear we have been poorly managed, but the problem that has been created isn’t something that is going to be reset with a new owner - in fact things could get worse if there is no guarantee that an external partner covers our losses. That’s how I see the reality of the clubs position in regard to the dynamic.
This is a valid point of view and we can take mistakes here and there from the owner and you’re right without his money it could be catastrophic! But the fact of the matter is IMO he and his board have put us where we are today. Without his millions flushed down the bog we wouldn’t be in financial mess He’s allowed incompetent people like Bill and co to flush his money away. Moshiri is the one who can remove the amateurs from their positions to make his business successful, or at least give it a better chance of being successful. The proof is in the pudding, we don’t create enough revenue, we don’t get the best sponsors out there, we are recruiting the wrong managers, the scouting system is shocking, the chairman and CEO are useless, they’re getting paid a kings random to make this club successful on and off the pitch and theyre failing.
For me catastrophic would be to keep doing what we’re doing with the same people doing it!!! This club has lost its identity and us fans don’t even know what we’re trying to do on or off the pitch.
I don’t believe we will get relegated this season but if we continue in the same vein with the same clowns then it’s only a matter of time.

Probably the most sensible post I've read in here.

We're up shít creek without a paddle.
Mosh goes and he takes the boat too.

Oh the joys...

I actually cannot believe my eyes when I see people using “but Moshiri single-handedly keeps the club afloat by writing off £100m+ losses every year” as a POSITIVE of him owning us. Why the hell are we in that position 7 years on from him taking over? Why are we now solely dependent on a now sanctioned Russian billionaire’s money to even just keep us afloat? Why aren’t we a self-sufficient, stable business? Can someone please tell me if any other club in world football operates like this?

It’s well and truly too late, this absolute buffoon has killed our football club.

The reason he should have brought in seasoned professionals to run the club in his absence, Moshiri brought in Usmanov's companies to the commercial side, who'd of think Putin would declare war ? Not defending Moshiri in the least his meddling in transfers, that idiot super agent who gave us everyone's cast offs and hasbeens. His and the boards awful choice of managers and contracts. But he is/ chose to be an absentee owner, the very least he could of done was left us with a competent board of Directors, half of these problems wouldn't have been here.

Not what I said though is it.

I know we're fkd
You know we're fkd
We all know we're fkd but he goes and we're a whole new level of fkd.

So, yeah, mosh out ?‍♂️

Oh without doubt the losses we make are down to the mismanagement of the various management teams across the corporate governance structure, i don’t think anyone is arguing any different or putting their existence forward as a positive attribute or a sensible strategy - it’s relevant in its irrelevance really, because the liabilities are created and still need to be paid. We spent, raised costs and committed so much to contracts….that it outstrips the clubs ability to pay by 100s of millions and has done for quite a while and they are reoccurring annual costs, every year. That’s before we look at funding BMD.

With the clubs inability to pay, there are four choices, sell your best players every year to raise funds (look at our losses and match that to transfer fees) just to break even, go in to debt - we are already in significant debt and credit is limited, owner provides the cash flow to the business to meet liabilities and cover the clubs losses - what Moshiri does, or go into administration.

All the above choices bar Moshiri funding our losses are abhorrent and torpedo the club, thus we are dependent on him, he certainly created that dependency, no one is arguing different, it’s not healthy as I said many times, nor is it a positive, but it doesn’t change the reality of it being true and the situation the club is in.

No doubt the man has spent a fortune, What I can't fathom is.... why??
Why spend a fortune on a playing staff not fit for purpose, why spend a fortune on a revolving door of hiring and firing managers ? Both of which has cost a fortune..... None of his decisions have made a modicum of sense.....
Yet now this halfwit wants help funding this self-made disaster ?? I'll be honest, I would be wary of anyone who would want to help this bafoon by handing him the hard earned... After all.... its only getting used to plug a moshiri shaped, money pit sized cavern of despair.

I'm going to be disappointed if that's not one of the new stands name.

I have been thinking about the `Moshiri response and I just want to dumb this all down, more for my own sanity.

If you was him, you have wasted millions, you are surrounded by people who have underperformed in every area, you now have various fan groups protesting and your team is in the relegation zone.

Why would you not seek to get rid of them? it would appease the fans and show some form of progress and in turn it protects you asset. I don't have an answer as to why he would protect the board and be ruthless in other areas.

Does anyone have a logical answer as to why the board are still around? In any other role you perform to the level they have and you are sacked.

He's not @rsed mate. Will just get that stadium built and sell up. Meanwhile he'll asset strip of he needs to. He needs legging, immediately.

Yea, he doesn't care! That letter stank of disinterest
He probably likes Bill too, they seemed pally and if he doesn't care about the club, why sack him?!
It's a mess

so its a case of keep us up, build the stadium ... sell and get out. Sad when it has got to this, had high hopes when he first walked through the door.

This statement from Moshiri is another sign that it's not just Bill, Denise and all those on that level that are the issue. He is complicit in his complacency and delusions.

He says he is behind our manager, but willl probably sack him him if we get beat by Southampton. He claimed to be a private man in a previous statement but prior to that was quick to chat to his mate jim white and the media.

We were asked to judge at the end of the window. Another false dawn.

Its clear any campaign does not need to target just the board, but our delusional, unrelatable owner.

We are a depriciating asset to our owner and board who are clinging on for their big pay day when our new stadium opens. But we may not get to that milestone with their complete mismanagement.

Our loyalty, our passion is collateral that means nothing to them.

Their bottom line is their finance. Our bottom line is alot more.
