Sir Landon Of Donovan

So, what will this achieve? People through the turnstiles, sales in Donovan kits? All good of course but what does it do on the pitch?

We could arguably avoid relegation now, mid table again perhaps. Then next season starts, and...he's gone. Drenthe has gone. Back to struggle street?

We need players on contracts to build a run into Europe & beyond, otherwise, BK is just "feeding the chooks".

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad he's back & I'm looking forward to the positive impact, but I'm a little tired of half a season of positivity.

That would be a nightmare scenario for Kenwright. Everton playing Thursday/Sunday with a threadbare squad doesn't bear thinking about for him.

It's ironic (if that's the right word) that the best place we can hope to get this season will be a ticket to a disastrous 2012/13 season.

I think everyone is just happy to feel loved.
