I imagine it would be much the same if Dyche becomes manager. In the less likely event he kept us up, there would still be a clamour from some to sack him as soon as the season is over and get someone in more in keeping with Everton's tradition. Whatever that is these days.

Sacking the manager then appointing a new one every six months IS Everton's tradition these days.
 


Surprised that there isn't any mention of him being sacked today.

Whom exactly would mention it?? The so-called "journalists" who write anything to stir up stories for clicks? IF the club are thinking about sacking him, you're not going to hear it from the board until it is official. That's how a proper club should behave. Conduct business behind closed doors, not in the public forum.
 
I can't believe Lampard said he was confident of turning it around seeing as we had a 6 week break and served up the performance against 20th placed Wolves
TBF that's exactly what he is supposed to say, isn't it?! The performance v Wolves was awful and last night is up there with the worst I've seen, but you'd expect any mananger fighting for their job to say "we can turn it around". It's BS but it is par for the course.
