I think even the most unpopular names knocking about would have a good chance of doing better than 3 wins out of 18 tbh so i am not really that fussed who would take over so long as it is just temporary. The problems are well deeper than the Manager and have got to be addressed as soon as possible for any type of real club building project to commence.

Im not convinced. unless it is just this sit back and try and scrape a win. I think even lampard can do that but he is probably putting far to much faith in this rabble. That looks like it will be his downfall.

Personally I think an experienced manager would be able to grind out some results at least.

We are likely doomed regardless but that doesn't mean we just roll over and quit. We need to roll the dice. Lampard has been given a year and we have seen negative progress. It's time.
A quality creative midfielder and a good winger/forward that can score goals and I think Lampard would have us safe. If we don’t get that and we get more Dele Alli panic/budget signings then don’t see even an experienced manager doing much better.

Dont think he has. 3 days earlier they put a shift in v city.
Maybe we do have to play five at the back at home against everybody. He'll get flack for it but it looks the only option.
I mean bloody hell i saw a Carlo Ancelotti team play like that at Goodison against Burnley.(he got slaughtered for that btw)
I just don’t understand why he or any manager coming in should get flack for playing 5 at the back. The team is crap. We limited the best team in the world to 3 shots on target on Saturday, had 1 chance and scored. But we don’t play city every week, we would get more chances against everyone eles while keeping it tight. Think fans needs to realise the situation, we can’t play nice football with this lot and get results. Honestly believe we would have got something last night if he kept the same team and formation and just Davies for onana.

I don’t think so. He is too stubborn to change the way we play which I don’t understand what style he is trying to implement. The whole attacking tactics just do not click. It’s slow and passive and he is not a proactive manager who would make subs early to amend mistakes. Nice fella yes but we need much more than that to stay up.

Id agree. Esp with the level of what we have we cant be looking at any team home or away and think we can take the game to them.
I actually hate even typing that but the creativity and ability of this current mob is just not there.

100% it's the ego side of the manager that gets them the boot. Happened with the Waiter. It doesn't work, change it...but no. I'll stick my guns because I believe in it....

And as with the waiter, that stubbornness leads to being humiliated. The players then don't believe in you and what you're doing.

He's not experienced enough in our situation to make it work.
He completely changed the tactics and style from our 7 game unbeaten run and it really is baffling why

Pretty much a case of trying to run before we could walk. Its almost arrogance to me

I think you have rather low expectations. Basically, we could just save ourselves from hiring an expensive manager and an expensive team around him, and instead hire a couple of grassroots coaches. Because the result will be the same anyway, and we would save a lot of money.

But yes, the situation has no magical solution, but a rather obvious solution: We need decision-makers who are competent, we need a concept that makes sense based on where Everton is currently in the football hierarchy, and not least we need a competent manager. Right now we have neither.
You say low, I say realistic. I’ve watched this coming for two years and it’s played out as I and plenty of others thought. Poor decisions, mismanagement, transfer comings and goings have led us to this point.

We had very few goals and creators in the team under Ancelotti, we were massively reliant on a few players to create and score. We lost those players and over the last three/four windows replaced them with much poorer players who couldn’t hope to get close to matching the contributions of the players they replaced. And in the meantime kept the players who weren’t chipping in with any goals/assists under Ancelotti and previous regimes.

It was a slow train crash and was always heading one way. They don’t look like they know how to score or create because the team is full of players who have no history of consistently scoring and creating at a high level.

Was it the Norwich manager’s fault for taking them down last season or did they just have a [Poor language removed] team?
