Who should replace Frank Lampard?

We need to view this long term. The next 6 months don't actually matter. If we go down we can still save ourselves by coming back up and being good enough to ensure it doesn't happen again. If we stay up we need to get playing real football so we can move away from the drop. Either way the answer is to find someone who is going to build the team brick by brick into an actual functioning side. Someone who is going to have a plan for the players here now and then once he's got a grasp on what a we need a plan that he can work on with Thelwell on what to buy to make it all come together. Turning this around is a multi-year job no matter how this season finishes so we need to act like it.

They play 18 away games and that hasn't broken them yet, the Brighton manager actually broke down laughing tonight mate. Who knows, I mean we've tried Silva, but it may have been too soon for him.
Maybe judge Silva after next season, if he stays at Fulham(wham next?).
I just feel the pressure at our club takes its toll.
Expectations at thise other clubs are lower, much lower.
Home games break confidence.

I'm afraid we'll sack anyone we'll appoint after Lampard if we go down. Maybe Moyes or Dyche would stay, but can't see anyone other staying.

Plenty of good managers out there without us having to revert to Martinez or Moyes or give it to an ex player.

Pochettino would be my choice or I’d throw absolutely everything at Mourinho to try and entice him from Roma.
It's fantasy mate. Not until that bafoon Bill and co have gone can we think seriously.

I said to get Mourinho before we went for Lampard and got laughed at on here. I’ve said months ago get rid of Lampard and people laughed. Poch be my first choice.

If you gave someone who isn't an emergency hire the job you'd probably have no issue keeping them.

I'd literally tell candidates the job is not about staying up. I mean we want to, but the job is fixing the team and playing better first and foremost.

I don't really get the shout for Dyche. He has no track record of working with players like our big time Charlie's. I doubt our players would buy into him at all and I just don't see how he would motivate them.

All the above says more about our players and the poor culture that we seem to have in the dressing room that it does about Dyche, unfortunately.

People are scraping the barrel like Aston Villa looked in major trouble with slippy. Then went out and got Emery.

His first job was to guarantee safety. We were 16th and 3 points above relegation, like I say, closer and with less to play than Allardyce was. So if Allardyce needed to save us, then Carlos first job was also to do so. He was certainly promised more money and expectation to push for Europe after saving us.

His only January signing was branthwaite. And most of the work to save us was before covid. He came for money ultimately and likely because of Usmanov but the reason he came is irrelevant. But let’s not re write history as if Allardyce is the only one who did his job. Because saving us wasn’t needed when he took over.
Ancelotti went with his head held high, just like Big Sam did. But I still feel Ancelotti failed here bare in mind he did have Richy and James and a fit DCL who had his only decent spell in Ancelottis time here. Richy and James were game changers we have none now, so in that aspect I do feel for Frank up top we are now clueless.
