Worst captain to wear the armband blag hardcase who loves going into away teams dressing rooms to console players. Hopefully legged to Dungannon swifts in the summer.

10 years ago he's first choice for most teams, including the true elite.

He really wouldn’t have been let’s be honest. Not one of them ever rated him enough to even throw in a low ball bid, including Moyes when he went to United.

Good player in his prime but Everton was absolutely his level. Still can’t cross a ball nearly 20 years into a professional career.

Now nearing the end of his career he can come on against City in a war and easily hold his own is just incredible.

Has to be in the all time hall of fame for us, he's up there with the best.

If Patterson serves Everton half as much as Coleman did I'd be happy.
Great post

Spot on, some of our fans are truly delusional about Shay. He is every inch a 60k player and no more. Laughable to say a elite club would even look at him sideways.
He has made a career out of blind alley runs and hitting row Z with his crosses
