Who should replace Frank Lampard?

We all know what the next number in that sequence was going to be if he hadn't been belatedly put out of his misery. Hint: greater than 11.

He'll be a disastrous replacement for Lampard - but still an improvement. It's that bad. Thanks Bill!
What? After hundreds of millions were about to be spent?

Pfffft!

We saw how ineffective he was with world-class talent. One suspects he would have struggled just a tad with the overpriced signings Marcel Brands would have chosen for him.

Spot on, he is an absolute joke of a manager. The 5th was heavily weighted with Moyes back 4, by the end of that season his lack of defensive tactics were there for all to see, hence why we lost out to 4th place.
He had one of best group of players in Europe and still couldn't get Belgium to do anything

When it comes to recruitment, whether of managers or players, we are always one step forward, two steps (or more!) back.
Success in any organization is founded on getting this right. This club has repetitively failed at this and that's why we are where we are.
The solution will require time and wise choices, all of which we are massively lacking right now.

Absolute tosh.

WC SF and FIFA number 1 ranked team for almost 6 years.

You're not making sense here and I think you know it.

The worst thing Martinez did for this club was to take them to midtable. Along the way we had our very best season in terms of points and wins and two cup SFs.

And just how long does the next one get with the current set up? :whip:

Surely can't be Martinez, didn't he take Moshiri to court for his ££££

The FIFA rankings mean NOTHING. Brazil are currently number one. The number one team in the rankings prior to the World Cup has NEVER won the World Cup since the rankings were introduced. In fact, they've never been past the last eight! There's the tosh you are looking for.

Martinez is an opportunistic, one-trick ideologue who is one of the smartest career movers in football. He preys on feeble football administrators by selling his snake oil and extracting his price.

I never took you for a dupe, but there you are.
