Went to see the Specials in 2009 at the 100 club in Oxford Street in London. My daughter won 2 tickets in a competition. It was in the summer and it was like a sauna in there. Neville Staples had no shirt on and was running around like crazy with the sweat pouring off him and there's Terry as cool as anything wearing a three piece suit and tie. Also funny enough Terry said I believe some of you won tickets for this you f ing mingebags. An absolutely fantastic night. Also Mark Lamarr was the compere that night and was hilarious. Also Phil Jupiter's was also there and my daughter had her photo taken with him and said he was a lovely man. Got outside and had to wring my shirt out?

Mingebags is a lovely term of abuse.

Saw the specials in Belfast about 4 years ago. Exhausted by the end, my wife and I danced, bounced and swayed throughout,Superb.
Huge part of my youth , loved everything they did, Terry Hall will be sorely missed. RIP

RIP. Was a top class full back by all accounts. His nephew Ben, was a world cup winner with England Rugby Union.

….as @TangerineToffee will testify, he came into that World Cup as back-up to the great Jimmy Armfield but grasped his opportunity when it arose & went down in history. Not many left of that team now.

Sad news. With the latest world cup already drifting into history I was only thinking about the survivors of the 66 side. Cohen very much underrated but always held his own against our wingers.
Two left now off the top of my head. Geoff Hurst seems to get younger each time I see him while poor old Booby Charlton really hit bad with dementia. Don't get old is the message.
