That second Dutch goal shouldn't have been allowed.

"If, when a free kick is taken, an attacking team player is less than 1 m (1 yd) from a ‘wall’ formed by three or more defending team players, an indirect free kick is awarded."

That ref was seriously shocking last night.

He definitely wasn’t less than a yard away from the wall, do you realise what a tiny distance that is?

In the same sense that "England for the hideously long winless streak" makes it sounds as if England are perennial winners, not a 1 time winner also in a time of controversy and all lol

My god agreeing with Davek feels wrong
You’re right! I meant ‘hideous’ as reflective of England’s poor performances in that time as opposed to it being some sort of hideous injustice - because it isn’t that!

Each team was dishing it out, so the faux disgrace amuses me. Yet, Ottamendi is a yard-dog, and as such I won't be surprised if he gets snapped at some point.

What I find strange is sports fans not being able to relate to the emotions of that game. Whether as players or just as fans, surely we've all been participating or invested in games where you're dying to win and rub the opposition's noses in it. It's not anyone's best look, but it's completely natural.
