Test Complete Dave. We can see the laughter

The Dutch have reached 3 Finals and lost them all. Theres records to beat out there if you can find them.
Yeah, but at least four years minimum apart. Teams often lose successive World Cup finals - the Germans in the 1980s are another example.

But the Euros and the World Cup in 18 months! That would be some blow.

I'd be delighted with 2 finals in 2 tournaments TBH. No blow at all to me
I know where you're coming from, but I can't agree. To get so agonisingly close and not win it would kill me. There is no doubt that England fans would and should see two final appearances as huge progress, but finals are for winning. England needs to see these as opportunities to make hay because the sun will not always shine. Any team, no matter its ceiling, has a window in which to maximise its chances of success. For this England side, in my view, that window is 2018-2024. It's an era without a truly great international side, so opportunity knocks. My personal view is that this England side missed its ultimate moment in the last European Championship final - the home advantage, the kind draw, the lack of seriously good opposition, the one goal start in the final...

But win against France and everything is genuinely possible.

I see where you're coming from and obviously losing a final is gutting for any team. But I think England will be around the latter stages of tournaments for longer than that with the talent that's coming through

Very easy for the greatest Nation on Earth.

Kane with 2, Foden and John Stones with the others, Mbpop taken off after 15minutes after running into Maguire and suffering a broken face.

I would also say with tournaments it's not *only* about winning for me personally. It's about the fun of it all too. 2002 and 2018 were fun world cups for me from an England perspective despite them ending badly. You enjoy the pubs, coming home memes, Dave's head falling off. It's not just about a destination but the journey too

Its win win, if we win, we are happy, if we lose, well, who really cares.

Imagine not signing up for a deal like that.

That is a cry for help from Pearce.

I think someone really squandered a prime opportunity to hire steve coogan to commentate on all of the world cup games as alan partridge. Would definitely tuned in for that coverage
