Never really been into this national team business. Very much prefer club football, but I actually appreciate this Dutch frauds mentality.

Massively warmed to van Gaal over the course of the years. And I know I had a very different view to that once. But he really doesn't give a single f about the opinion of 16 million fellow countrymen.
Screw total football, screw entertaining the world. All that matters is the end result.

Still don't believe in his dream and also not that bothered if it doesn't come off, but at least he follows his own philosophy.

I just think any 17-19 year old CF prospect who starts making a bit of noise gets clubs out of said player's league courting him and it really hurts their development. IDK this is a US thing, honestly in another universe David Bentley doesn't get bought by Rednapp out of spite and becomes Harry Kane. Maybe Bamford signs for Leeds at 19 develops into a star and is Chelsea's starting CF today.

What a CF does translates from club to club and league to league well prob more than any outfield position, you just more than anything as a young player to get experience honing your craft.

Without doubt our (well in the end I'm Dutch) best game this tournament. Very realistic approach to the game given the qualities in the squad. Think they thoroughly deserved their victory.
