TV Series

More outstanding dialogue from "Andor" (season finale): The writing on this show has been brilliant, every character brilliantly written, acted and progressed.....I never expected (nor dared dream) I'd see such good content. They have set the bar very high now.

“Remember this: Freedom is a pure idea. It occurs spontaneously and without instruction.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. Even the smallest act of insurrection forwards the line.

Remember this: the need for Imperial control is so desperate because it is so unnatural. Tyranny requires constant effort. Authority is brittle. Oppression is the mask of fear. Remember that.

And know this: the day will come when all the skirmishes and battles and moments of defiance will have flooded the banks of the Empires authority, and then there will have been one too many. One single thing will break the siege.

And remember this: Try.”

Currently watching The Outsider, solid 8/10 so far.

I`m midway through this mate and I`ve got to say, it`s the best TV adaptation of a Stephen King book, I`ve ever watched.

After, you`re initial post, I realised that I`d read the book and started watching it, just to see what it was like really.

It`s almost word for word of the film.

It`s proper quality, as you`d expect with an HBO production and personally I`d be giving it a 9/10 on what I`ve seen so far.

I`ll post more on it, when I`ve finished, but so far, it`s brilliant ;)

Andor is easily the best live action thing to come from Star Wars since the original trilogy and the biggest reason for that is because it focused on telling a good story first and foremost. It might be a simple thing but its one that's mostly been massively missing from the galaxy far, far away under Disney.
It's so clever as it uses the emotion and Big events in the movies to develop the show and your feeling towards it, I can't think of anything that has done that before so well

Massively disappointed that it was only 1 season.

Another HBO show which is worth a watch “The Night Of”

Finished - 1899.

Some good and some bad.

The good - well acted / good cast, apart from the CGI, the sets are good, as is the attention to detail, some really good scenes - the passengers jumping over board, being one.

The bad - tries too hard to be Dark and fails, too many threads going on with, too many different people, it sometimes feels flat in parts and wanders, which makes you switch off.

Not bad, could`ve been better, they shouldn`t do another one.
I am not used to watching what I would call "fantasy" movies or series so I base my opinion on that basis.
I took your advice and carried on watching, but I simply didn't get it.
