Who should replace Frank Lampard?

No idea. But villa did well getting emery, and they look totally different with the same players.

We'll probably sack lampard and twiddle our thumbs for a few weeks before we even think about who we want as a replacement.

I have it on good authority it's his life's dream to watch Dwight McNeil go round in circles before losing the ball, Demari Gray run down blind allies, Tony Gordon find nobody with every cross, and Mason Holgate tackle himself. He'll be here quicker than you can say 'perfektenschlag'.

True enough, but probably with a reputation that can withstand a stint at Everton on his CV either way. Tuchel needs to be far more guarded with his next move, because reputations are hard won and easily lost.

Look at Potter right now, a managerial tier below but trying to break into that gilded circle. I give Potter a couple more months maximum, if Chelsea bin him then he's going to have to rebuild his "brand" at another midtable premier league team before a champion's league regular would look at him.

If you're Tuchel, there is every chance a European heavyweight will come in for you soon enough. You can't risk taking on Everton in the meantime.

Villa players downed on Slippy and they got Emery because they're gonna spend money.
