Without getting into that I mean better than we are now. There's always another level to go to. Even if you think we've improved it would be nice to continue doing so.
Well yeah, and lampard knows that. But saying we have made progress and then demanding we get a more experienced manager is nonsensical. Why not wait and see whether the continued progress is there. We are 13 games into a season.

I didn't say either of those things.

I don't think there's been progress but I'm not doing that again.

I also don't think we need to fire Lampard immediately, but I don't think hiring a manager who has to "learn on the job" is an ideal practice either.

Every manager learns on the job.

Lampard took knowledge from his days at Derby, Chelsea, and as a player under some decent managers. That aint an automatic recipe for success, granted, but I am puzzled why you would sack the bloke for Tony Pullis or Neil Warnock. Both really experienced.

What I'm really saying is hire a manager who is qualified based on his management. To me, blind CV, Frank wasn't.

In the future I'd prefer a better process.

I have no idea why I am even engaging in this nonsense. Lampard may turn out to be really good. I happen to think he has the stones to do so. But what in his playing and management career makes him a blind appointment?

Not what I meant. I was saying looking at his record without the name Frank Lampard attached
