Really poor performance today. Was surprised to see Gray hooked before him as at least Demarai put in some good balls in the first half and held onto the ball better.

But we need to lay off the lad. This is a brutal league, especially for young lads. Have patience. Frank rates him and that is clearly for a reason.

He's still only a kid and learning his trade but he got a lesson tonight from a 34 year old Willian who not only put him on his arse once or twice but outdid him in application, effort and desire. In an ideal world we would have the quality and numbers out wide to bench Gordon and make him play his way in to the team. Sadly we don't.

I think he has some ability, but I think the main concern with him is his stamina. He genuinely looks goosed at times within 20 mins of games. This leads to him making lazy passes and running up blind alleys for the rest of the game. Has he got asthma or something?
