i know the club has (rightly) received stick for making our coaching team an old folks home for ex-players, but I would genuinely feel we had made a massive mistake if this lad isn‘t retained. Absolutely the role model we should want for our youth players!

Yes, Seamus is still capable of putting in the odd performance. Every so often, he gives us a reminder of what he once brought to the side consistently. He can't do it consistently now and even he knows he is a reserve now to a fit Patterson, but it's lovely to see him turn back the clock now and then and deliver a cameo.

Don't think there was anything wrong with what he said? We saw the same with Jagielka where he'd pull out a vintage performance but couldn't sustain it across a season, it's just what getting old(er) is.

Seamus is quality. Nathan is quality. I think right back is covered quite nicely.
With a healthy Patterson, whoever Lampard chooses to start, won’t be wrong.

Coleman the person is fantastic.
