Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Had a couple of really crappy days, it happens. But Mum now seems sorted, decent day as a result, log burner fired up, and our fave of steak, chips, mushrooms and peppercorn sauce later.

Still miss Nik like mad, but just now, one of the cats curled up for a kip next to some of her stuff I just cannot ever get rid of. Little, probably nothing, things sometimes make sense/comfort.
Glad your mams sorted roydo, I'll be ordering a new fridge next month, my sister is full of poo lol she has a fridge freezer and I need under counter. I'll get there in the end

Hope your Mum is OK now. It is the small things that keep us all together. It's the glue of our lives and they do bring comfort.

Loving the plans for tea. Enjoy

Hope your Mum is okay. The smallest of things can often bring the most comfort. My friend was widowed a few years ago. She has an empty beer bottle in her kitchen, which was her husband’s last one. She’s not morbid at all but just can’t part with it.

It's always the little things mate. Always.

Good morning all on this dark and cold morning here in Hyvinkää .Sad to hear some are suffering their losses a bit more acutely than would be hoped but it is all part of losing the love of your life .I on the other hand am bouyant after the wife seeing the doctor so all I can do is wish you the time to achieve a little more piece of mind . I hope all slept well and we get three points today or I fear the situation could change and that is not the way to go .COYB

A sad sad day for me
My dear friend and painting teacher passed unexpectedly yesterday
She shone bright in my life the last ten years since I first asked her to treach me to paint …. She was a warm lovely woman as a friend and a tough constructive critic of my work
I’ll miss her I’ll pop ? be if her paintings that’s in my wall at home … a unique voice

Sorry to hear that mate, hope you're ok.

Is everyone good otherwise? I've just decided to read my emails that for some reason I hadn't opened for 3 months, get fed up of negativity or bills don't you. Found out my pet insurance has been cancelled ffs, not bothered they were a cowboy outfit if you ask me so I shall have to set up a new one next month.

Have a good one, I need to keep an eye on the date, days are passing me by and I have Drs appointments soon, don't want to miss it.

Morning all, bright day here. Not much planned other than shopping this morning. I’ll probably do some family history whilst listening to match commentary this afternoon. I had trouble with my e-mails recently, @Terrarian, realised that some reminders from insurance etc.were missing, trawled through hundreds of junk ones, I don’t usually check them, I know I should but don’t bother that often. Nothing. Transpired that B.T. had decided that they were spam and blocked the sender, fortunately no harm done but could have ended up costing us. Hope you get a good deal on Daisy’s insurance, T. Have a good day all and COYB’s.?
