There is absolutely no chance we get that penalty. We all know that.

I remember a similar incident last season against the same opposition involving their goalkeeper and VAR stepped in to overturn it.

Kane goes down easy every week but no one mentions it.

No problem with that, soft but inevitable as Pickford made it an easy decision for the ref.
Wish all our strikers had the speed of thought and dramatic ability that Kane displayed there.
If it was the other way I’d have been livid had we not got a pen (so basically I’d have been livid)

IMO Never a penalty if VAR was used how it was meant to be used....instead of favouring the chosen few

It was a poor mistake by Pickford, if he doesn't make it he doesn't give the ref a chance to make a poor decision. Kane conned the ref, he blatantly left his foot trailing and made contact with Pickford and dived. The ref got it wrong, but, not as badly as Pickford did with he initial shot. Having said that Pickford had made a very good save earlier in the game, where Kane really should have scored. It's swings and roundabouts, if the penalty is not given, Pickford's mistake is quickly forgotten.

I thought his reaction was more because he’d allowed himself to be conned by the big galoot he calls skipper.

In today's watered down version of football it is a pen, it is also an example of how the game is a pale imitation of the real one that existed before 'incident' was built in to the TV spectacular

Not surprised it was given, and god know what Pickford was thinking to throw himself in front of Kane but it does look more questionable than i initially thought in this image

Pickford threw himself in front of his thigh - was always going to be a pen. Yes he played for it, yes it was a pen.

regardless of whether you think it was a penalty there is absolutely no doubt that it was also a dive - the two are not mutually exclusive
