Sooner Moshiri departs the better.

You never know what you'll wake up to next under this regime.

We desperately need a clean sweep. This sort of thing is poison to our reputation.
Agree, the longer he hangs around like a bad smell the more the club seems to be getting damaged.
One thing is for certain, his face should never be either seen or welcomed at Goodison again.

Thing is in the article there is nothing substantial and seems like guess work as BDO have not said anything.

Not saying something isn’t wrong but there seems to be a lot assumptions made without any real evidence but just sources.

I mean is ut the club’s finances that the issue ( doesn’t seem so because the premier league are also auditing) or are there concerns about any lingering ties with Usmanov who is under sanctions ?

Plus isn’t the stadium costs fixed at £500m so why mention the rising stadium costs ?

A lot of guess work in the article which leaves me thinking they themselves are not reporting the full facts here.

Not that I support Morshiri’s continued ownership just that sommit about that article seems off
Yes. I had noticed some inconsistencies in the first two paragraphs that made me somewhat skeptical of the article.

“Auditor is considering walking away”
“Auditor has told Everton it will not be completing the work”

No Auditor would ever talk to the press about a client if they want to be taken seriously…….client confidentiality is absolutely paramount so the sources thing I’m not sure BDO would be please reading this either

The Kopite media being naughty as usual.

"The Guardian understands that the accounting firm BDO has told Everton it will not be conducting the work"
Not confirmed. No comments.

Only reply they have is
“Your assertions [about BDO] are based on nothing more than them refusing to discuss a client matter with a third-party journalist.

“In line with company best practice we do follow audit rotation. However BDO remain our auditors and have not resigned.”

Which says they're still auditors.

And it's common to change auditors every couple of years. (I'm sure City jumped from Delloite to BDO recently). You'd be dubious of someone who didn't.

As an 18 year old in 1998 I qualified from 6th Form college with a "Distinction" in GNVQ Advanced Business Studies. I'm happy to take a quick look at the books and sort this all out if anyone thinks that will help?

"Looks here like you're randomly in profit by £500million. Go spend"

Sorry that's the PSG and City books

Dont think the costs for the stadium were fixed mate.

I think I read somewhere it was fixed at £500m mate
