Quite simply for whatever reason they’ve stopped their doping for a period just like they did during covid. Exactly like that period, Milner Henderson Gomez Van Dijk and Alexander Arnold have gone back to looking like the average cloggers they probably have always been, Salah can’t hit a barn door any more, Fabinho is looking like the player he was at Monaco, and they’re picking up niggling injuries all over the place. It’s the exact same drop off in form they had during the covid period.
These players were being deemed as the best in the world last season and the seasons before covid. No one spoke about Trent’s defending, Van Dijk was the best of all time, Salah was better than Messi, Fabinho Wijnaldum Henderson were running over the worlds best midfielders away from home. Now we’re supposed to think that because they’re a few years older they’ve all gone rubbish?
It wouldn’t surprise me one bit of when they’re all back from the World Cup this same group go on another 15 game winning run in the league and make the final of the CL again.

7 years at Liverpool and I'd say he needs to be casting around - as he did after a similar shift at Dortmund - for another club where he can break out the pharmaceuticals to good effect.

Trento laa is very good at crossing and dead balls. His free kick yesterday was very very good which was well saved.
He is not very good at defending and he isn't going to beat his man like a quality winger.
He has looked good up until now as he hasn't had much defending to do and has time and space in most games to put crosses in. Now teams have figured him out he is a liability.

I totally agree.
Given that they have an aging squad, it’s as if they’ve had to limit the doping to half/quarter seasons rather than the full Monty from the past.
If they have ‘busted their nut’ so to say on the doping side, and need to take a full season off, this could be an absolutely atrocious year for them.

Problem is an like anti-biotic you have to take the full course to be effective. Chemical Klopp knows his asthmatic athletes have to break this season up due to the World Cup.
If his hard of breathing brethren have to go to the world cup with Uncle Jurgens mint ball remedies, there's a very distinct possibility that national coaches and their medical backroom staff will take a minute to examine Gnashers backroom remedies and suss Mr PEDs out.

I reckon Klopp has messed the cycles up a bit by starting it again during the lockdown season when they were losing 6 in a row at home and were miles off the top 4. Everything was going to fall apart then but they won a ridiculous amount in a row at the end of the season to get into the top 4 and then last season it was all guns blazing again. Maybe he’s thought with the World Cup coming up it was worth cycling off for a bit.
I’ve always maintained that some of these players are complete dross and have had careers gifted to them by this doping fraud. Milner was finished as a top player when he left City, was awful under Rodgers, and then has been given an unbelievable swan song. Same with Henderson. I’m not sure Gomez or TAA would even be internationals without it. Salah would be a hit and Miss tricky wide forward (like he was pre Liverpool), Wijnaldum would never have gone to PSG, same with Coutinho.

It's moments like this that the Kopites feared last season. They were desperate to see Everton go down. They'd have taken that over success in ALL of the competitions they were involved in.
Because here we are 6 months later and we're goal difference away from leapfrogging them in the table.
