One of my colleagues, a surgeon was hit over the head with a bottle and then stabbed by locals right infront of Police officers who completely ignored what was happening.

This happened to a surgeon? Did he have any suture in his pocket to stich himself up?

Even the French health service looked on and did nothing for his surgeon friend. He had to operate on himself on the ferry home

If I was a newspaper editor I would be incandescent with rage at not having that story in my paper. In fact it's amazing that we have not heard about it before this post - such a person would be surely of good repute and make an excellent choice to show how a law abiding fan can get, checks notes, bottled, stabbed and tear gassed! It's almost too incredible to be believed- you couldn't make it up.

We should all spread this story. We should all get behind the oppressed innocent fans.

Alternatively, and hear me out, if this was untrue and hongk evertheop @gwladysnight was a bs rs wum, then can you imagine how people might jump to the conclusion that kopites are gobshites.

all this kerfuffle wouldn't have happened if the Teutonic Tit hadn't encouraged the masses to go from Hertfordshire/Norway etc to Paris without tickets and their zany propensity to try and get in without tickets/use forged/blag tickets, causing huge crushes because there were 200% more people there than was intended.

Fans were crushed when the Police sent them into an underpass that was blocked with Police vehicles. They were then attacked and tear-gassed. I suppose he deserved it as well. For having the temerity to support a rival team.

The thing is a similar thing happened in Lille when a 100 hundred hooded locals attacked our fans with metal bars, chairs and basically anything they could get their hands on. Remarkably, the local Police stood by and let it happen. The next day. The same Police force were tear-gassing our fans including kids.

How come these events 1. Didn't play out amongst Real fans and 2. Didn't play out at any other event hosted by the Stade de France?

Tbf, I am not a fan of the Police in most countries, I'd imagine they'd get a perverse kick out of a (scouse not) English fella getting done over. Hope they're fully recovered.
