ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Thing is though, there might be something in what he is saying.
Yes but the fact is that 65* year old white football pundits will have a role to play and bring in a lot of experience alongside a mixture of more contemporary and diverse expert opinion - it's just he's rubbish.

* Ferguson/ Wenger/ etc turn up and I pay attention. "Lawro" = switch off.

I always loved the song we sung for him

Who's up little boys,
who’s up little boys,
Mark Mark Lawrenson,
Mark Mark Lawrenson.

A true classic
I know it’s not PC anymore, probably never was, but it’s catchy and funny and I still often sing it walking round the house without even knowing.

My wife (RS) buzzes off it.

Liverpool coverage of their ass whooping in the women's derby last night focuses on the crowd attendance.

They're pathetic.
Just read it for curiosity. No mention of the match apart from one sentence. As you say - pathetic.

The rest of the article actually makes good points. Scheduling a ‘legends’ match the day before and cutting ticket sales 48 hours before was a definite missed opportunity to grow womens football in the city.
Instead, they’d rather take the cult £ in a meaningless legends match designed to increase their revenue, and only their revenue.

I don’t like womens football tbh - just my personal choice, but I’d rather watch any competitive game than 50 year old blokes running round a field.

They dont care about the women's game either. But they had to cover it and chose to deflect from a derby defeat. I doubt they're remotley arsed about growing the women's game.

he isn't relevant anymore, he has been away from the game for 3 decades so all his opinions and views are repetitive old garbage

They're pathetic.

They probably haven’t got time to cover games effectively when they’re busy dealing with the only issues that really matter to Liverpool fans during the international break:

Scouring the internet for any opportunity to discredit Jordan Pickford as England number 1

Scouring the internet for any opportunity to discredit anyone who thinks Alexander Arnold shouldn’t be in the England squad

Scouring the internet to discredit any criticism of Virgil Van Dijk whatsoever.

It’s amazing they have time for anything else to be honest

No

A second story about the crowd attendance focuses on the crowd attendance.

They have time to fill out their compo application claim forms.
