You have 22 million to spend...

Negredo bid was turned down because it was in the middle of the season with not time to replace. We could get him for less than that this summer. I'm thinking 14ish for Negredo and 8ish for Fer. Give or take on both.

Sevilla turned down a £14.5m bid from West Ham for Negredo about two weeks ago, just after they sold Navas to City.

Considering they're stumping up £15.5m for Carroll, I would speculate that Sevilla told West Ham that they wouldn't listen to anything less than £18m - £20m.

Honda, Alcaraz, Lescott, Donovan for under £7 million combined. I'd also try and sign a keeper, would've liked Mignolet (don't know how much he's going for) and then just bank the rest for January, see what we need then.

...just picking a number out of the air...

Tell me how you spend it. Who and how much each?

I'm a good lid mate so we can split it £11m each. With my £11 million I would paint the exterior of the stadium Royal Blue. The rest I will waste.

Jdawg for Mayor.

earlier post on another thread .. ironic how this 22m figure seems to be cited so much.

Still stand by the following though would be happy enough to pass on Dragovic, give Duffy more of a chance and invest the Dragovic money on pace, blistering pace .. **** it, get Usain Bolt in.

based on this I'd cash in on Osman, Jelavic, Naismith (for sure @ 4m), Heitinga = 22m

and bring in:

Fer - 6m
McManaman - 1.3m
Bony - 8m
Dragovic - 5.3m

.. but life isn't that fair .. or is it ?

Why are you trying to ruin my dream of signing Negredo?

Nothing personal pal, several on here keep banging on about him. It's just a breathtakingly unrealistic transfer target given that Sevilla just trousered £17m from the sale of Navas to City. They don't NEED the money, as demonstrated by the fact they turned down WHU's £14.5m bid for Negredo earlier this month, so to suggest we could pick him up for less than £20m flies in the face of logic IMHO.

Moses or even Demba Ba are more plausible targets, given the recent developments with Lukaku and Schurrle at Chelsea.
