Where we threw it away

It's not about making predictions,it's about the games we played and the results we got. It's about the games we let slip away.

And,yes,if we can keep our players, keep our manager and add one or two in the summer, we will be in the shakeup for CL next season. But,not if we are not prepared to attack and blow away the weaker teams. I am more worried about our result against Sunderland away than Arsenal away. I think that next Saturday there is a greater risk of losing our chance of a CL spot than there was on Tuesday.

You said that we SHOULD be chasing 3rd let alone 4th. There's no way that we SHOULD have expected to be chasing either spot at the start of the season. Given how we've performed this season, yes, we could be more positive next season if manager, players staying & additions all goes the right way, but no-one would have said we SHOULD have been chasing 3rd or 4th this season, before a ball was kicked.

Looking back at games were we have dropped points is totally futile & ignores the games that we've won with a bit of luck, or against the grain.

Its all down to that last day of transfers in January, if we would of got new players, someone who could score goals, we might of just pushed on like we usually do in February.

FLHD.
I think that any team with Jagielka,Baines,Fellaini,Pienaar,Mirallas and Heitinga and Jelavic (based on last seasons form)would expect to do well. These are players that EVERY team in the premiership would have in their squad.
We also knew what Gibson,Osman,Distin added. The form of Anichebe and Coleman have simply been added bonuses that we could have hoped for but not expected.

The one thing that I could have seen hurting our season badly was injuries.Very often when we lose a player we have to move our team around because having a small squad we simply don't in many cases have a player to fill in for the injured or suspended player.
We have done very well so far this season with injuries and suspension.Don't forget that next season we will also see Barkley establish himself as a premiership footballer. The biggest challenge for our club is establishing a squad big enough that can cope with injuries and suspensions in a busy season.

Every team can say this. The fact is we are still in the hunt with 5 games to go, that is all that matters, the games coming up not the ones already played.

Spot on this. Don't lament just yet, still to play for.

Would you be happy if the team were to give up near the end of a game? No, so why give up on the team? Why not look forward to some possible wins rather than back at dropped points? Before the Man U game in August did you expect to be 2 points off 4th? No, and you'd have bitten my hand of if it was offered back then.

Pulled back this discussion from early in the year just to show that there is more to our draws than us not being good enough. Most of the games, especially earlier in the season we were dominant but unlucky. Just one or two of these would see us up with them.
We didn't get the decisions but we were the better team, just deal with it, it happens, we're still in the fight for fourth ffs. Try enjoying the battle instead of moaning about missed opportunity.

Can't find the 2 blatant fouls but they are as obvious as the rest

Reading - Penalty for a blatant handball in the box

Again just a write up pointing out the two pens..

Norwich - freekick that lead to their equaliser was very soft and very few refs would of called an air shot and falling over a foul.

Arsenal - Arteta Pen was pretty straightforwards as well.

Leeds as well http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/evert...52-31907517/2/

First paragraph there

So Arteta pulling down Pienaar no pen.. Cauker on Fellaini no pen.. Felli on Dzeko is a pen and now this is no pen either... Blatant foul in the box in 4 games in a row, it just so happens the only blown for is the one against us..
Result of the Stoke one is Felli loses it and we lose Fellaini

Next week.. next decision.. West Ham this time
http://www.soccer-blogger.com/2012/...-anichebe-gibson-carlton-cole-red-card-video/

2 sided poor refing today.. 1 incorrectly disallowed goal.. 2 incorrect red cards.. 1 either side. Disgraceful refereeing results in the West Ham home fans chanting 'you don't know what your doing'.. even when he sends our own player off.... That's testament to how bad he was.

Now please go through all the decisions which we have had this year. Just of the top of my head, Suarez goal disallowed, felli should have been set off against stoke, Gibson the other night should have been off against arsenal. Your post claiming all decisions are in danger of making us sound like kopites.

Suarez shouldn't have been on the pitch to score that, Gibson shouldn't have been on a yellow in the first place, etc.

Messing ourselves in the final 5 minutes at Norwich. Horrendous.
Forgetting that Frank Lampard needs marking at Goodison. Hideous.
Letting Swansea park the bus at Goodison. Harrowing.
Drawing against an incredibly poor QPR at their sewer. Horrific.
Giving Arsenal a one minute running head start at Goodison. Hateful.

Point out where I said that please? Point out where I inferred it even? Give me some indication that I don't think we've had decisions against us.
Clearly something lost in translation where I said just one or two of these would see us up with them, has been misread to read, we only get results go against us. Not the case at all.

You can shove your kopite comments up the wrong'un as well. I think your more reading this like your scared that a kopite might and make fun of it, which if it happens you act like you will in some way take personally, though I suspect you wil lthen hypocritcally sing we don't care what the red s**te say next game.

Fact is, it was simply a post to say any of these decisions would see us higher up the league and many of them would of turned draws into wins, its not just about the manager or the players... pretty sure its possible you can tell that's what I meant because that's what was said.

So youre point is we've picked up points in 13 games out of 15 against lesser teams? FFS Moyes!

I don't think that's the point tadpole was trying to make.

A more complete way to look at it would be to say that of the 39 points available in those thirteen games already played, we've picked up 23. That's not enough to mount anything more than an outside challenge for the Europa League spot - what a coincidence.

What Tree said. If we'd drawn all those games we would have 'picked up points in 13 games out of 15 against lesser teams'. Hardly a glowing testimony is it? And we should be expecting to to pick up points in all those games as a minimum. From those 13 games we picked up 23 points. Extrapolate that to the number of games we've played and we'd be on 58, 2 pts ahead. So we'd have to do exactly as well against the rest of the league as against the bottom 7 to maintain that pace. 'FFS Moyes'?? To F-ing right!

As regards points we've dropped due to refereeing errors etc, has anyone been on/remember that site that use to produce a league table "how it should be" adjusting for wrong decisions etc?

Your entire post was on decisions against us and did not mention one which went for us
