Isn't there a terrible 'same old' feeling around at the moment, with us one place off the drop and the RS winning by a hat load away from home, when it was us who entered the season with high hopes and the RS who were going to struggle. Will it ever change? We've been here every one of the last 4 or 5 seasons and found ourselves ultimately to be lacking, usually hampered by a poor start. Depressing.

Cast your mind back to the eve of transfer deadline day last year.

Lukaku was a bloke who scored bags of goals at The Hawthorn the previous season.....who would have thought he would fetch up here?

Gareth Barry was someone we regarded as a journeyman midfielder.

Victor was our main striker.

Moyes looked poised to take what we thought were our two best players in a BOGOF deal.

But look at us now.

We are paying £28 million for a striker.

We have our best young talent tied up on long term deals.

And we has Samuel Eto'o come on as a sub yesterday. And score.

We are playing some great attacking stuff and if we attack like that every week we will be blowing teams away for fun and moving up the table.

We won't have Costa to contend with every game.

This club is reborn and re-vitalised.
