Yeah, we can't be drawn against teams in pot 2 basically. Fiorentina are currently in pot 2.

We where unlucky to get put out in the QF last time and we have a better team and manager now plus We got 72 points last season and probably should have been more.

Barkley, McCarthy and Stones are also a year older.

But offcourse we need to replace Lukaku, Barry and Deulofeu but the money should be there.

Essentially, This is a list based on the weaker teams from CL and higher teams from Europa League etc, so they've included the weaker sides from CL which includes Athletic Club, Lille, Kopenhavn, Besiktas, Panathinaikos and Sparta Prague of the coefficients above us. What we need is essentially 3 or more teams of higher coefficient to be knocked out. So by that basis after 50' of the Hapoel Tel Aviv match, they are drawing 0-0, so are out, we'd need two more of the qualifiers to go out at least for us to stand a chance of pot two, again, the Champions League drop outs are the interesting ones, for example should four of the higher seeds from the champions league, champions route go out (4 of Celtic, Steaua Bucharest, BATE Borisov, Salzburg and APOEL Nicosia), it's plausible there are some decent, tricky teams which aren't seeded, then we'd effectively drop 4 places down the list.

So essentially, we'd need 7 Europa League teams to go out with a higher coefficient. If that makes any sense at all. So for every 'better' team that joins, we need one to go out.

I think in terms of matches that will please the fans, Pot 3 is best for us, as we would have the various opportunities to go to Spain, Italy, Germany and Czech Republic, whereas we would have a better chance of going to Russia, Ukraine, Israel if we're in Pot 2, that said, it's easier.
