That was scandalous alright, clearly onside in the replay and would've had an easy goal to kill the game. Decision that tight everyone knows the rule is to let it continue. I won't go into mad conspiracy mindset and say they specifically didn't want us to win it but I have no doubt in my mind that after Villa scored the officials were thinking "let's make it interesting". English referees are a joke and it's plain as day to see.

We can’t have nice things. This guy is a nuisance and gets in behind and causes the opposition problems. Linesman got a little jumpy when he could have been straight through. Having 2 thorns in your side in Dom and Beto is only a good thing. We haven’t had this problem in a while. Let’s enjoy it

Also, Beto has so many of those moments where you just sigh and go “there is no way in hell that ball will stick” and somehow it does. Defenders really struggle to deal with his physicality. I don’t care if he looks like he just got off of his shift at KFC. He is effective. We have scored all of our goals since he entered the team.
