6 + 2 Point Deductions

Apparently we need to raise £25m before the end of June so that we don’t breach again. That’s us pushing either Onana or Branthwaite out the door for less than their value to balance the books.

We’re an absolute mess, losing money hand over fist. Need some people with an actual clue running this club, and fast.

but again.. how can forest only get 2?
Not sure I follow you entirely. Forest got 4, but I think it was 6 with 2 back for "exceptional" cooperation. A quick review of our IC decision on this charge shows that the IC did not deem our cooperation to be exceptional. Apparently, our cooperation was just "reasonably high." <sigh>

257. On balance, however, we are not able to characterise Everton’s cooperation as exceptional. It does not in our view surpass what was required of the Club under the Rules. As observed by the Everton Appeal Board, “reasonable cooperation and openness is a requirement of the contractual relationship between the PL clubs” (at[113]) and the “reasonable level of cooperation to be expected of clubs in respect of the PSR mechanics and process is relatively high” (at [91]). Bearing those observations in mind, we take the view that while the Club's level of cooperation here was reasonably high, it was not exceptional. We therefore leave this out of account.

It's not picking and choosing. The actual lending documents state that the money cannot be used for the stadium.

If that has changed, if the documents were amended, then the PL can [Poor language removed].

If they weren't changed and Everton just found a more favorable auditor, I don't see how that changes anything.
If that’s the case, then it’s pisspoor contract drafting on our part.

If it explicitly states that in the contract, then the auditors can’t capitalise those expenses. So maybe there has been an amendment or the wording is a bit loosey-goosey around that clause which is why the auditors decided to capitalise it in the 2023 year.

It would make sense that the amount was immaterial in the prior year, so the auditors decided to leave it as an unadjusted difference in the 2022 AFS rather than raise questions by adjusting it.

If anybody needs cheering up, RAWK hasnt handled it very well.

And Bluemoon.
The neck of those creatures on RAWK, Liverpool fans talking about punishment not being severe enough, 39 Juventus fans murdered and at the time Everton were given the harshest punishment even though it had nothing to do with us.. if they think that being deducted 8 points for under 40 million pounds of breachs over 4 years isn't harsh enough, then that club should have been disbanded after Hysel.

Another who has disappeared into the ether as he never existed. Walking away with a big fat pay off and refusing to attend the Commissions. No accountability at all, but who's bothered, certainly not Grant Ingles.

This is how badly run we have been.

Any other industry would have sacked these 2 buffoons on the spot without any course for recompense.
Amazing how they were allowed to oversee all this and not be held accountable.

Sickening.
