I'd love to know why they were given severance pay.

Surely they resigned from their roles? Or fired for gross misconduct? And if they took it to court to argue against gross misconduct, well here is all the evidence that would be needed.

He made the very true but very unhelpful comment that Everton fans have been bemoaning the mismanagement of the club for a long time before the PL slapped us with points deductions.

Yes, we know that, but when you've just had 8 points deducted for the season and the possibility of more to come off it isn;t the time to state it.

I understand what you’re saying mate…
The PL don’t have to adhere to the accounting statements.
Whereas IFRS allow for certain expenses to be capitalised based on their nature, the PL don’t have to follow that and can treat all expenses as an income statement expense for the purpose of their calculation.
But then that means that they’re picking and choosing which numbers to use from the audited financial statements to suit their agenda.
And if they’re asking for audited financial statements, then surely we can raise an argument that they must use the audited AFS’s numbers, otherwise what’s the point of submitting them?

It's not picking and choosing. The actual lending documents state that the money cannot be used for the stadium.

If that has changed, if the documents were amended, then the PL can [Poor language removed].

If they weren't changed and Everton just found a more favorable auditor, I don't see how that changes anything.

I don't agree with the rules or the points deductions. But I think we'd rather have two points deductions this season, rather than one last season and one this season.

A total of 8 points deducted for two separate breaches kind of makes the punishments dished out to us and Forest even handed (4 points for each breach). However it's been a complete disorganised mess to get this point, and we can see that the PL were continuing to push for greater punishments!

There will also be yet more breaches and punishments for clubs this time next year!
