Just a word on Barkley and Henderson, it was a [Poor language removed] tackle but he wasn't hurt and they shook hands afterwards, social media's gone into meltdown over it like he's written his career off.

I would have taken Rafael. Best manager they've had in 25 years.

Roberto Martinez Discussion - Including Live Poll (Poll Reset 1st May)

If he's making summative statements about his time at our club it sounds like he knows he's going.

    Tim Howard

I don't have as much bile for Howard as most on here it seems, but after Robles' performance over the last week there is no logic in bringing Howard back so soon. Robles will have a bad game or lose form eventually and that would be Martinez' opportunity to give Tim another go but we've been...

    Match Thread Manchester City(1) Vs Everton(2) - Capital One Cup - Semi Final 2nd Leg - Weds 27th Jan - 19:45 KO

I voted him 'in' in that thread, looks like I'm in the minority though! Last night was the low point of the season for me, but I don't feel s bad today as I thought I would. I don't think this season is quite as bad as some are making out.

Yeah, that was a cheap shot :) I agree it was poor refereeing and I also think we have been more unlucky than most this season when it comes to being on the wrong end of refereeing mistakes. Also if what Jags (?) said Atkinson said after the match is true then the man sounds like he's on one...

With Howard playing it is pretty much a guaranteed goal ;) My point is people are saying allowing that goal to stand was deliberate dodgyness from the ref. A penalty could easily have been given for the Stones challenge a few weeks ago, subjective or not, I don't think we could have complained.

I concur, too many conspiracy theories in here today. City should've had a last minute penalty against us in the league a couple of weeks ago - some people seem to have forgotten about that pretty quickly.

Roberto Martinez Discussion - Including Live Poll (Poll Reset 1st May)

I didn't want Martinez, then warmed to him in the first season, now I'm unsure how much further we're going to get with the 'we're gonna score one less than you!' philosophy.
