2023/24 Sean Dyche

Things must change in summer. It is unlikely we will change manager, so Sean Dyche has to change his way of practice with regards to strategy, it will be another relegation battle unless he decides to attack teams.

Really, really disappointed last night how we had nothing to play for, and still sat with a flat 4-5-1 and didnt bother attacking.

Has to be more than lump ball for Brexit Dyche.

Cant level “another relegation battle” at him imo without deduction we would of been basically safe from just after xmas

Indeed he is an oldschool manager and we saw a lot of horrible games under him. But he not only kept us in the league this very special season. Without the point deduction we would be at a level with Brighton (what even is famous in Germany now). And please consider what would be if our strikers would be a bit more effective during the whole season.
Thanks god that Moshiri isn’t interested in the club anymore. Otherwise he would has replaced Dyche already in Februar with another Lampard type. Rooney?
The squad won‘t get improved so much next season so i currently don‘t see any better manager we can get to start next season. Thats how it is currently in my opinion.

You can though, we got points deducted and went on a run of 2 wins in 15 mate. That's a relegation battle after the fact and 2 wins in 15 form we would have been dragged into it anyway, just not quite as deep into it.

If he wants to avoid being in a battle for 15-17th next season, he has to develop his own ideology.

I dont believe we would change in summer, and even if we did change, we dont have the money to develop a whole new footballing ideal.

However, he has to improve.

Last night was a really good chance to show that without that black cloud of pressure hanging over you, these players can play football and take the game to Luton.

The players failed to do that, Dyche failed to do that with his set up. Sitting with a 451 for the vast majority of the game was criminal. Felt very sorry for DCL. Absolutely no support.

Pace and guile is desperately needed, but the context of our financial situation means we are going to end up with slugs that are about as subtle as a cruise missile

Partly dyche the narrative these players can’t play a slightly better brand of football is nonsense. So you can’t get cheap fast players? You can’t get cheap full backs who can attack and you can’t get a better footballer to play the doucoure role?

Who mentioned the sack, was replying to someone saying the performance at Luton was dross and we hadn’t nothing to lose, when the shackles are off , you will see a different dyche ive heard a hundred times , well we won’t. And I guarantee he will be sacked one day

You’re right there’s no guarantee of anything , but you think he’s here to stay though.

We don’t know who will even own the club, who the board will be, Thelwell out of contract, so a new sporting team and DOF. Nobody knows who they will be or what they have planned

Youve done a decent job

To put the 19 points into context..

If we retained our points we'd only be 23 points off 4th.

Essentially I'm saying we'd be almost as near to 4th as we would be relegation places.
