Our CEO has stated clear progress I was wondering if anyone here could give an argument for clear progress this season?

10 points and 2 places is the progress. I think that would meet the definition of progress clearly. It's just not enough progress to be anywhere close to content with our position. We should all be very unhappy with coming tenth and losing two home quarter finals. It's nowhere near enough.

I think it was in the email that went round the other day. I got one but didn't really read it that closely, only skimmed through it.

I mean I know the OP can sometimes rub everyone up the wrong way but I have to agree that those quotes, if genuine are purely corporate diarrhoea sprayed onto a page in an ill informed attempt to try and guess what the fans want to hear.

I hate that sort of thing tbh - I couldn't care if the fanbase love or loathe the manager and neither should the board/owners - Evertonians love the manager because of what he's done at other clubs not because of any success here like Kendall, Royle etc.

Its the sort of reactive rubbish that has plagued our club for years in terms of recruitment "lets appoint x,y,z as the fans will love them and they play a,b,c type of football" rather than an actual plan in place in terms of which managers/players coming in will actually fit in the club/long term plans.
