Unless your a Sounders supporter in which case they're calling for him to suspended as long as Zakuani's out which is ludicrous.

I was expecting 5-10 games. On the high end, but seems ok.

Agreed, but it's only the more vocal and ignorant Sounders supporters. The whole situation has been exacerbated by a recent and strange injury to the other striking option, O'Brian White, leaving only a one-armed, lazy Fredy Montero in front of goal. We're hurt by Zakuani's injury(rightfully so) but lashing out blindly, and there's really no force behind these outcries for 'justice.'

If I was a Seattle Fan my first reaction would be to suspend him until Zakuani is back. Once any fan stops and starts thinking about it the punishment is more than what most expected.

I see it as a statement by the MLS. They're trying to avoid a reputation as a dirty league by handing down a ten match ban to make an example of Mullen.

Fair play sir. You are correct in that some of the "loudest" are those asking for that sort of punishment. The majority, and level-headed supporters weren't quite asking for that.

I think it's a bit unrealistic to suggest he be out as long as Zakuani, but I don't think it's all that ludicrous. You can't prove intent, obviously, but you can infer it and it was definitely there. What is more unjust, Zakuani missing the rest of the season, or Mullan?

Again, I don't think it's realistic to suspend him for a year, but I don't begrudge anyone feeling that way.
