Zakuani who came to train with us from MLS...

Watching it live, absolutely sickening. Hope he recovers well and quick. Both for him and for the Sounders, because, I'll be honest, they need him. It's always painful to watch injuries, but at least when Nigel De Jong breaks legs, it's on a decent challenge.

Mullen needs a long time out of the game for that malicious challenge. You can see him go down, whine he didn't get a freekick and then just go in, intent to foul......no-where near the ball.

I am absolutely gutted about this. Zakuani is one of my favorite players in MLS. I was really pleased when he came to train with us and I did expect him to end up playing in Europe sooner or later. This sucks.

Unfortunate. Didn't see it and don't want to.

Mullen was the culprit? That's too bad too. I don't recall him every doing something like that in a Dynamo shirt but he could get a little wound up from time to time and you'd see him steaming on the pitch.

Wow !!!

Just read this in the match report on the MLS website:

This game all hinged on one dramatic moment right at the start. In the third minute, Rapids midfielder Brian Mullan – frustrated by the lack of a call just seconds earlier – went in with a reckless two-footed sliding tackle on Sounders winger Steve Zakuani and was given a straight red card.

What did I say above?? If that's the case, that really upsets me.

3 minutes into a game at 0-0, are you soft or something lad?

Awful challenge, as somebody who's recently had his knee dislocated through a tackle I can't stand to watch incidents like this...

That is exactly what happened. Disgraceful.

Appropriate punishment.

Unless your a Sounders supporter in which case they're calling for him to suspended as long as Zakuani's out which is ludicrous.
