My understanding is, Man U are looking to go down this route, in a similar fashion to how Real and Barca do it at their homes - having a tier of games a few pegs down from full prem/la liga games to pull punters in and to provide some more leather with which to sell branding for.
Now, I know, I know, we all love Goodison, shes a great old home, but it would be a bit ironic if we were to be able to do similar and then have the youth players come through playing in a state of the art small stadium only to make it all the way to the top of the tree (so to speak) and be playing in a Dickensian monstrosity that ought to be condemned.
It can be quite cruel sometimes, life, cant it.
