Your Server is not up to the job!

I think the thread title says it all really. Every time there is a live match, and other occasions such as transfer deadline day, the whole site freezes up. It hardly seems worth trying to participate really - posting a comment an hour or so after the event after the thread has gone cold. There's just not enough time in a day to hang around waiting for the site to come online again.....

I know it's all down to budget and everything, so am not criticising admin directly, but after recent experiences i'm going to be much more reluctant to log on to the site.

Prior that, we've not had a second downtime since upgrading our server.

Maybe a bit ott?

That said, I do agree with the thread title.

The shut down of the server was caused by an unwarranted amount of traffic over surging the server at the final whistle. It reset itself and was functional again in eight minutes.

I've never had a problem with the GOT server, except when it's down.

Then I have a problem with it.

That's a very rare occurrence.

That said, I do agree with the thread title.

Ok, point taken GOT, i guess i've just been unlucky. This is the first time i've logged on during matchtime for a while and didn't realise you'd upgraded the Server, so hopefully things will be ok more often than not in the future. It's just a bit frustrating when you're fuming and want to get it off your chest but can't get onto the thread to post. :-)
