Hey guys, I'm currently coming to the end of my degree in fashion and i have been given a job to create a few different polo shirts for your club. They have to be very commercial and they are encouraging the use of iconic imagery from the club like the image of dixie dean, and the everton tower, the latin text on the crest, famous everton songs/chants, and details and info about your cup winners cup win, are all things I need to consider when designing.

My question to you all is...

What would you personally like to see on a leisure wear shirt?
do you like stripes or plain polo's?
What would it take for you to buy an Everton polo shirt/what would need to be on it?

Also, if any of you have a large and clear image of your old crest from 84/85 season, that would be very helpful to me.

cheers.

You could do worse than follow the Alan Partridge sports casual look....

So you have been tasked with doing this for the club, yet you are asking us for the club crest ?

stinks of 'little white lie' if you ask me, so which market will you be floggin' these on ? or will it just be e-bay ?

With reference to your "project"
PLAIN but stylish. Fabric detail important.

Personally like the Nil Satis Nisi Optimum part in any design......

This is the iconic image though due to the statue at the club - really.

I'll let some others dig up more images....... for your consideration

Cheers guys, it's not directly for your club, it's for kitbag.com. they want some everton polo's designed for their menswear range. I am a supporter of a different team so I don't have much knowledge of your club. Just gathering research as we speak and am glad that the majority of you seem helpful.

Abit of market research never hurts!

If you need any more inspiration just ask the people on Grand Old Team.com

there's a brand label that the club have for leisurewear, I doubt if they will get a penny from any kitbag produced stuff.

I doubt that very much. It'll be produced under licence. i.e. the club is being paid for it.

The more it sells the more value it has attached to it. For the next round of commercial rights when its up for renewal

The less it sells the less value it has the less money EFC get for it... and the less money that goes into transfers..............
