Not a great cook my mum, always cooking from frozen. I, on the other hand, am brilliant.
Anybody want a good coq-au-vin recipe?

this by a mile , there were 4 of us ( 3 lads 1 sister) and me dad! Mum worked partime/ fulltime on and off and still managed to cook for us all ! There's a breakdown in Twain towers if there's no micro chips in the freezer!

you had the last box didnt you... i hid them under the peas so you wouldnt see them. had to have a butter sandwhich in the end. thanks

Fine but a bit too English for me. No packet food which is a big plus.

I'm a better cook, hard to know if that will change once I have less time on my hands.

My late mothers Scouse was ace passed down to my beloved wife, but we forgot to ask her about the slab of pastry that was sliced in oblong pieces for each bowl placed on the side to,absorb the gravy of the meat Scouse gravy it was dumpling like yum yum!

I have fond memories of coming in late from the pub on Sunday Afternoons to my ma's and a tremendous roast dinner being kept warm between 2 plates in the oven, smashing stuff to soak up a bevvy with.
