Player Valuation: £60m
I can only recall from 1996, so mine will be from when football got good...... fume bitches, fume.

A mad minute.

I think this was the best group stage game I've watched at any tournament.

Rooney announces himself.

The utter fume from the Portuguese, and that badly dressed kopite Xavier was wonderful.

The way the Dutch tore France apart on the counter attack was fantastic, if memory serves me right they also did the same to Italy a few days before.

Best Memories wouldn't be very balanced as I only go back as far as Euro 96

If you were asking for "Five Best Moments" though, I'd go with the following

Panenka's Penalty

Holland defeating Germany in 1988 (The day they got their bicycles back ;) )

Gazza's goal against Scotland in 1996

Greece winning the 2004 Final

Denmark winning in 1992

Didn't Arshavin tear them a new one in the next game?

Van Basten's goal in the 88 final, Jensen in the 92 final, Gazza against Scotland in 96, Rooney against Croatia in '04, Poborsky's chip in 96

The first one I remember is 1996.

1. Portugal 2 - 2 England, 2004
2. Portugal 3 - 2 England, 2000
3. Portugal 1 - 0 Spain, 2004
4. Portugal 2 - 1 Netherlands, 2004
4. Czech Republic 3 - 2 Netherlands, 2004

My first Euros, Sweden 92. Off my face for about 36 hours in Copenhagen, went for a wander with a rave tape on my Walkman and stumbled across a nudist beach. I was proper out of my tree and can only remember some of it, some of the good sights.

In terms of football, Kluivert pulling back a consolation goal for the Dutch against us in 96 which eliminated the savages on goal difference. Now that was a perfect night.

Watching Rooney burst onto the world stage in Portugal 2004 was great, even though I knew it meant he'd be off almos by the time I flew home at the end of he tournament.

Other than these personal memories, watching the French midfield on telly in 84 was sublime for a young kid to stare starry-eyed at, as was the sight of so much Adidas.

Van Basten's goal in the 88 Final was just brilliant.
