fags were 10p for ten, brown bitter was 19p a pint, god im sooooo old, : (. not that i went drinking like, i er, wouldnt like you to get the wrong idea or smoked, i was a good lad ; )

On my first day the guy said he'd pay me £25 a week for a 60 hour week and would give me Tuesday morning off to sign on (another £25) and if that I was really good I could have a go at welding. Attractive as his offer was I didn't go back
