This is not for your first ever album, but the first album you ever got on CD. Those magical silver circles of joy.

It may come as no shock to most of you but this was mine:

I now have 2 copies of this as they did an even better Special Edition later on.

I remember buying 4 at once. Def Leppard - Hysteria. The Police - Greatest Hits. Guns N' Roses - Appetite For Destruction & Dire Straits - Brothers In Arms.

1) Because it was The Smiths 2) It was a double album so I felt I was getting more bang for my buck.

I have to thank my dad for The Police & Dire Straits. I'd been listening to them proxy of him since I was knee high.

I was 11-years-old (1988) and he was taking me to get GN'R and Def Lep's albums. It didn't take much to persuade him to get me two cd's by two of his favourite bands.

Can't remember my first album but one of the first cd singles I bought was Aftershock- Slave to the vibe

Another was madonna- pink elephants and Lemonade..... I was gonna ask a bird out who liked this song so I bought it fo her, next day I fancied a different bird do kept this for myself.

) was basically two EP's. As you say, the first 4 tracks are the Live Like A Suicide EP, and the 4 acoustic tracks were new recordings.

got Floyd's Dark Side & Wish You You Were with my first CD player (Ghettoblaster baby!). Didn't think i'd like Dadrock as I was into Nirvana and the like at the time.

Put Dark Side on, and On The Run blew me away!

Would love them to get back together, sadly very unlikely to happen. Reckless life and move to the city are ace on that album actually they all are, Estranged is one of my favs tho off UI 2 and rocket queen on appetite

Robbie Williams. Life Thru A Lense.

I properly buzzed off it and played it on repeat until it was scratched to fck. Let Me Entertain You was my favourite. Think it was track 8.

I was 5 years old.

I realised he was pyar tosh before I hit double figures like. That was around the time my dad introduced me to "Floyd, lad".
