Just posted something in a previous and got me reminiscing of when I must of been about 14/16 of that leeds team that a lot of youth came through and got through to the semi's of the Europa league then the champions league the year after with probably a side of

Robinson/Martyn
Kelly
Harte
Radebe/Woodgate
Ferdinand
Bowyer
Dacourt
Batty/McPhail
Kewell
Viduka/Smith
Keane/Bridges

Used to love going them on football manager.
I know its not the best team from history but at the time they were young and exciting to watch with no fear, at the time Kewell was possibly the best player in the league till the RS ruined him.
Then they spent to much and ever since have been in league 1/ the championship.

Anyway what are everyones favourite sides and the starting xi from that era, is it the early 90's Milan? Brazil from the 70's. Celtic late 60's?
Lets hear your favourites?

Nobody. I follow St. Johnstone, but that's not much fun. All the other English teams are AIDS on a pitch as far as I'm concerned.

So how about the Argentina 86 team? Germany 96?
Any team that's beaten an English team in Europe?
Gotta be a favourite team around the world in history?
Not necessarily the best but one you enjoyed watching

Recently it would be Bayern pre Guardiola. That team had absolutely everything and could literally play any style of football at any given moment.

Newcastle under Keegan were a pretty good watch.

In terms of my non league side: The Barrow side of 2008-2010. Got to 2 FA Cup third rounds (Middlesbrough & Sunderland) and an FA Trophy win.

Brazil 1990. Totally changed my view of footy. I went from a ball greedy bell, to actually being a player who got his head up, and looked for options.

Not the greatest team in history, but I admired their style of play.

Quite a few of the Barcelona teams from the last 20 years, from the Romario/Stoickov team, the Figo/Rivaldo/Kluivert side, the Ronaldinho inspired outfit all the way through to the various Messi inspired incarnations. All great to watch.

I liked it when one Milan team had all the top German players, and the other one had all the top Dutch ones.

I like Brazil in 2009 in their Copa America campaign, and I liked Zenit St Petersburg a couple of years ago when they had an entirely Russian side.

But my favourite non Everton team is/was/will forever be Chile since Bielsa took over. Wonderful, attacking, fast football that you have to watch in slow motion to appreciate. Like Spain on Steroids.

Arsenal's invincibles and Chelsea's 95ers.

If you were talking purely about the Premier League, these two would be the best sides to ever play it. It's regrettable that the Arsenal invincible side self-destructed so easily the following year, when one their main assets the year before was their mental strength.

The old man tells me that United's side in '94 was also pretty special.

Arsenal with Viera, Keown, Petit going head to head with Utd and Keane, Stam and Van Nistelrooy was a good era with some great matches and bust ups.
