Carlos Puyol for me..no Idea , but he reminds me of the way I used to play..

*drifts off into a haze of distant memories*

Current : Half of the Barca team, seriously - Pique, Messi, Xavi, Iniesta etc, you get the idea; Zlatan.
Older : Davids was amazing in his prime, Del Piero, Nedved, Trezeguet... the whole Juventus team from 2004-2006... too much to go here.

Cracking shout with Juventus! I've got family down south and in Italy who are mad for them so their support sort of rubbed off on me, they're my 2nd or 3rd team I suppose. Nedved was always my favourite along with Del Piero.
One thing that I liked with Juventus is that when they got relegated in 2006 or something most of their players stayed with them.

Robin Van Persie - stone cold assassin off the run and from the set piece.

Other favorite from the youth - Tatu.

Don't need to look him up - Brazilian started with Sao Paolo then went to the Tampa Bay Rowdies in NASL (24 goals in 60 apps) then to the Dallas Sidekicks in MISL (yep, that's indoor) where he notched 736 goals in 557 appearances. Not a bad work rate. Old school hero in Dallas, TX.

Change of pace from the world-beaters.

Robert Snodgrass.

Uses to be Zinedine Zidane for me but now he's retired, Cristiano Ronaldo just shades Messi as my favorite non-evertonian, he's got the cockiness to go with his huge talent.

He was playing in the centre of midfield in Bayern for the whole season before World Cup. It was Loew following Van Gaal (who moved him from the wing), not the other way around.

Yeah that's true he was misplaced on the national team also, it just seemed at the past World Cup was when he really shone and a lot more people started to take notice of him as a world class talent in the center of midfield.

Wayne Rooney. Not even trying to be funny either.

Or Jimmy Bullard.

Its hard to pick just one, but Moutinho is up there for me, nearly always standout player when i've seen him for either Sporting or Porto. if only we got him when the papers linked us everyday for yonks. I also like Lucio, getting on in age but still a top defender, and a great attitude. I have seen Ibrahimovic at least 10 times in champions league and still don't get it, technically brilliant, but bad attitude & workrate (unlike Lucio!), goes missing more often than not, but I can't argue with his goal return.
