Let's hear them.

Too many times do we chastise a player for leaving. Regardless on your opinion on this one, lets pick out his best moments since 2005.

The goal against Fiorentina,When it went in the place exploded

They've been coming back to me slowly, and each is more painful than the last.
I've just remembered his deflection goal in the 92nd to level with Man United last year.

Not necessarily his the moment, but a good one nonetheless.

Edit: It seems I was beaten to the punch.

Him Ossie and Cahill stuffing Villa at their place.
The assist in the Blackburn game Turner was sent off in.
Was it his through ball that put Beattie in vs Arsenal at Goodison ( 1-0 )
That smart ass free kick vs Blackburn.
Wishing he had actually put some force into that elbow on Fabregas.
The little flick over McCann that left him for dead.
His partnership with Neville in midfield that came from nowhere and just looked like it had been forged in the heavens.
Did he put Manny through for that pearler vs Man Utd?
His cross for Dunc when we sewed up the fourth spot.
Being angry for him after the snide wiped him out in the Uefa cup & praying Duncan flattened the guy responsible.
The corner taken for Duncans perfectly good header vs Villareal.

Outside the box v the sh*te last season, he enjoyed that. The goal against I think Hull on his return, it felt good to see him in a shirt again.

Who did he score them two free kicks against? That was my favourite.

I'll miss him.

When he left. :)

In all seriousness though, we had his best years, made an eventual profit on him and shifted £75k a week off the books on, let's face it, what was an injury prone and badly off form for two years player.

That Bolton goal was a bit special

But his equaliser against UTD, had me out my seat. Proper Hollywood style.

I wasnt aware you worked for Barclays.

Cant wait for him to ram those words down your throat, pity it wont be in blue, but will still be great when he does it.

Fiorentina goal by a Country mile for me.

Seeing the title of this thread compelled me to get myself on this forum. Maybe as a way of getting closure on the sense of loss that's been nagging at me since newcastle 2 years ago. My favourite moment has to be the home derby goal last year. I took an Italian mate to his first match in England and the look on his face when that 2nd went in was priceless. Every time I go the match now he's dissapointed he's not coming with me. I just can't bring myself to ruin his perfect idea of a match at Goodison. Fiorentina was pretty bloody good too, especially after having a 2 day nightmare over in Florence.

Even though it makes financial sense to let him go, I haven't been as sad over a blue leaving since I was a kid. Sad day.

Oh it just gets worse :'( I love him.

A few years in his pomp and healthiest you always had the sense that good things will happen. With a 1-0 lead you gave the ball to him and every single time he drew a foul or sent in a wicked cross in the box. If you were down a goal he was almost always the guy who'd bring you back.

The goal from Fiorientina was just epic. So was the goal against Bolton.
