The story of Achilles, not necessarily a myth as such, is my favourite one, the tragic hero stuff is a favourite.

Parmenides, not as well known, but his own works inspired a lot of Greek philosophers that are hailed as the great thinkers, he was the cleverest by far, his 'myths' are allegory perfected
