your favourite female singer

Being a bit slow keeping track of the latest albums, I've only just now got round to Goldfrapp's Tales of Us from 2013 despite enjoying all the previous four. It occured to me she might be my favourite female singer, but in a tight call between her, Iva Bittová and PJ Harvey I think Polly just shades it for having more variety in her albums and in her voice. For pure tone It's a tie between Tracy Chapman & Karen Carpenter, but their music does get a bit samey. For single best song it has to be Grace Slick's White Rabbit (Jefferson Airplane version)
