Good evening Frandels

So, season is over. We've got the points we've got, we are in Europe (sort of) and it's been a mixed bag.

Pick ONE Everton related thing from the 2016/2017 season that YOU think has been overrated and underrated (cant be both you weasel, pick one for each).

Underrated - Leighton Baines. Kept up a solid season of form without being spectacular. Very rarely (if ever) was the weak link or focus of opposition attacks

Overrated - Gueye. Only marginally pushed out Tom Davies for this pick. Excellent start to the season (made to look particularly good by hopeless teammates in 1 win in 13 run) but from January onwards he was nothing special, started to look tired and a bit lost on the pitch. Ridiculously generous comparisons to Kante. Needs to step up a level to be the long term partner in there for superman Schneiderlin.

Have your overrated / underrated say BELOW.

Underrated - Lukaku. We've got a striker who has just scored TWENTY FIVE Premier League goals. Yet apparently he has all sorts of flaws and attitude problems if you listen to some of our fans.

Overrated - Valencia. if even one supporter wants to keep him next season then he is overrated. Gash.

Overrated - Lukaku - I know his record is good but I agree with Harry Redknapp in that he blows hot and cold. £100m would be unbelievable. For £28m he's been brilliant but if we really got anything close to £100m it would be fantastic. Even £75m would represent a good sale and I'd wish him well in his career.

Underrated - Gana - I notice the 1/2 errors he makes in a match or every 2 matches, his play is often perfect and if he was 22 years old and English he'd be worth £50m.

Think you've got these mixed up @mixed_up but good postings

...overrated - not sure anything is allowed to be overrated because we have a balance on here that doesn't allow us to get carried away with individual footballers or circumstances.

...underrated - change is slow and it takes time to transition a team/squad to fit your own requirements but it was some achievement to already move a chunk of players out who were sitting on big contracts. I don't know if RK will be a success but he has to do his own thing, bring in his own players and move out those that don't fit, no matter if we disagree.
